I think religion was created as part of civilization. Our ancestors believed in a higher power, but no one has actually seen God. I also feel like, during colonization, the white people used religion to claim they were superior and to take away our own traditions. As for what I believe: good people get to come back again. Bad people stay stuck and restless until something greater than us decides their fate. I’ve never really believed the stories. Even as a child. I know you can make up a story, tell people who don’t know you, and they’ll believe it. That doesn’t make it truth. Nobody truly understands life. But we still respect those who act like they know God. That’s just me. Wake up.
