@harry.physio: Insertional Achilles Tendinopathy: The Ultimate Rehab Masterclass 🤓 ㅤ Insertional Achilles tendinopathy affects the lower Achilles where it attaches to the heel bone and can be sensitive to compression, especially in deeper ankle dorsiflexion. Rehab usually focuses on progressive calf loading while temporarily modifying ranges that excessively compress the tendon insertion. ㅤ 1️⃣ Top-Range SL Calf Raise 3 Sets × 8–12 Reps Loads Achilles while limiting insertion compression. ㅤ 2️⃣ Wall Sit Calf Raise Hold 3 Sets × 30–45s Hold Builds soleus strength with controlled loading. ㅤ 3️⃣ FFE SL Calf Raise 3 Sets × 10–12 Reps Progresses single-leg calf strength and control. ㅤ 4️⃣ RFE SL Calf Raise 3 Sets × 8–12 Reps Builds calf strength in split stance. ㅤ 5️⃣ Toe Walks (Forward + Lateral) 3 Sets × 20–30s Improves calf endurance and ankle control. ㅤ 6️⃣ SS Calf Raise Hold 3 Sets × 15–30s Hold Develops isometric calf strength and tolerance. ㅤ 7️⃣ Seated Calf Raise 3 Sets × 12–15 Reps Targets soleus through bent-knee loading. ㅤ Choose a few exercises that match your current ability and tolerance, then progress the loading gradually. Stay consistent and build tendon capacity over time. ㅤ Pain during exercise should not exceed 3/10 and should remain bearable. ㅤ Entertainment only, not medical advice. Consult a healthcare provider for your condition or treatment plan. ㅤ #AchillesTendinopathy #AchillesRehab #Physiotherapy #RehabExercises #CalfStrength
A consistent annoyance I have with these instructional rehab videos are that they rarely mention frequency. Am I supposed to do these every day, every other day, 2x a week, or whenever I'm pain free?

I’m a pro soccer player managing Insertional Achillies pain and haglunds deformity. Had PRP about 8 months ago. Rehab took much longer than expected but I’m back in training and playing matches. I’ve found that it really depends on everyone’s body and what works best for them. 3x45 second single straight leg iso calf holds are what I have found best for me, don’t right before running or training. I then incorporate other exercises, depending on how I am feeling, usually once per week when I know I have an off day after and my body can tolerate. Some days have to adjust and back off
