The automatic lane was supposed to divert your bag to the bag search side, because your bag was flagged for the candles. But because your neck pillow fell out of the bin, it disrupted the lanes process for a moment and it kicked your bag out to the cleared side accidentally. When the officers realized what happened, they came out to your gate to find you so they could complete the bag check and clear it. This scenario is pretty rare actually, so you got to experience something unique.

Once my dad left his suitcase outside the glass half wall of a cafe in a French airport while he sat right next to it on the other side and had his coffee, was watching his movie with headphones to look up and his bag was surrounded by police with machine guns setting up a periphery. One time my sister came to visit me in California and we did a candle making class and she made a pikachu candle for my nephew, I also gave her a bag of old iPhone chargers for my nephew. When she went through tsa leaving San Francisco they thought she had a bomb in her bag cause the pikachu candle and bag of chargers were next to each other. It was a whole big deal lmao
