I totally respect your path. I felt the same about taking meds. I did supplements etc. and essential oils with wild yam extract helped for a while. I was scared of HRT because I have a history with a blood clot so the idea of hormones was off the table until I found a female physician who actually listened and explained bio-identicals and all kinds of options. I went on BI progesterone and it was a game changer. Not suggesting what you should do…again, respect your path…just sharing my experience.

Ok so I was 41 when I started perimenopause. My father’s death shocked my whole being. I’m a daddy’s girl so anyway my mom had a hysterectomy after my sister at the age of 33 maybe so I didn’t get a lot of info from here. I remember her being on progesterone. Don’t let anyone tell you you’re overreacting because unless they’ve gone through it they don’t know. I had very bad hot flashes and there were definitely anger issues that I just couldn’t control. Ladies, speak with your friends or family members who have been through it or are going through it. Definitely commiserate with that best friend. I did. It does help. Guys don’t get it and it’s best they stay away and mind their mouth because mine had a mind of its own. I didn’t have postpartum depression but all my life I had the worst pms. All I can say is give yourself a break and take a time out away from others. Whatever you want to do bath in your garden sitting on your bed. Whatever. Understand it’s normal to feel this way and you’ve got to cut yourself some slack. Stay strong! You too will get through this. I wish I would’ve know more about the natural remedies. There’s more talk now then when I was going thru it and I’m 64 so…. ❤️🥰😘

I asked for help from a doc at age 35,he told me I was too young to be going through all that what is now peri menopause and told me I was depressed and gave me Zoloft. Took that for 2 years and quit. At age 46 I had my last period. Went through a lot of things, the biggest was weight gain. It was horrible, but, I survived. I'm now 66, I talk to my daughter about it bc it's the right thing to do. There are still so many doctors that gaslight women.

Many women will benefit from you being so forthcoming and from those in the comments as well. Years ago, when I was in the thick of it, I found community on YT. There was a creator named Kari Ann Wright that shared all the bizarro symptoms through humor and it made me realize that I was not alone. Also that I was not being a hypochondriac trying to figure out what inthe sam hell was going on with this body. Social media does have some really great benefits. It connects us in a way we’ve never before experienced. For that I am grateful.

41 will be 42 in November. Started perimenopause at 37. I did have postpartum depression pretty badly with my first. I also pretty bad adhd that I refuse medication for. Perimenopause makes it worse. I used to have monthly depression instead of rage right before my period. My entire life I battled that. Tried all the herbal remedies. Nothing working. My inflammation was getting out of control and I was struggling to lose weight too and my doctor recommended a glp1 After doing tons of research I gave it a try. Not only did it work for my inflammation it got rid of my monthly depression. Been on it 3 years and not a single episode since. And I didn’t want hormone replacement but I caved on that. Started test a few months ago and I wish I could say I hate it but I don’t. It’s been wonderful. I feel normal again. It’s weird that I feel guilty for taking meds bc I am an all natural kind of girl. I don’t even paint my nails but mentally I was exhausted.

I think no doubt there is a hormone shift, but also we get to an age where we’re tired of the drama, the games and just the deviousness of people. We want more straightforward, honesty, and just plain peace. now about the fits of rage, I have nothing to fix that yet. I do take me time. I require time every day by myself. Ashuganda , St. John’s wart, and Valerian root have become my friends. although I did take this opportunity in this stage of my life to weed out people who disturbed my peace. Good luck with this new time eventually, we do figure some things out. I have slowed my business down and focus more on getting closer with Jesus and doing things for close family and friends and doing things that make me happy. I enjoy watching your content and the type of life you lead. Blessings. Eloise.

Girl!!! I feel like absolutely I’m losing my mind and it’s like I’m standing back watching things unfold and I can not stop it. I do apologize to my family and my husband think I need anxiety meds. But I don’t want those not do I think it’ll help. I’d really like to find a holistic practice near me thats affordable. But I don’t know where to start looking. And you’re right the slightest inconvenience feels like a mountain and I just can’t take it. I have actually thought, dang did you really need to act like that?? It’s nice to know we’re not alone. Especially because when I do talk to my Mama she says she didn’t experience any of that. But honestly those would’ve been the years leading up to my parents divorce, and she probably did and just didn’t realize.

The night sweats have started and missed periods. I remember my mom going through it 20 years ago and I dismissed her then. I call her now and cry about it, "mom your daughter is going through it". She recommended yam root to help keep my hormones balanced. I started taking it 2 days ago.

girl!! I didnt get the peri- menopause experience as I went into surgical menopause due to cancer. and yes I went through this but thought it was just anger due to the cancer. and maybe it was. but its been 11 years and I still feel like this from time to time. I'm 51. Also the sweating! I never sweat before menopause. and I can't stand it. its like with all this sweating why can't I lose the damn weight my body decided to extra insulated me during menopause. Also feel disgusting in my own body. but I've come to terms with it because God made me this way and im grateful to still be here and enjoy my family.

I try to ride the wave. Even if emotions can turn small things into big things... remember all emotions have a purpose. Anger protects you, sadness helps you slow down. There's a video on youtube about how women eat in different parts of the world that helps. I think sweet potatoes was a big one.
