Sea Fishing Report🎣📘 Sunday 2nd August NEW GROUNDS UNLOCKED🔓 96.3 Kilometres Traveled in the Search of new Fishing Grounds No messing about straight out 32 kilometres from Bangor marina, got the the new grounds and the place was covered in 3-3.5knot currents, found a lovely sweet spot between the current, just above a small narrow gully of big rocks, first drop using 20-80g Lure Rod with a 3 hook flapper with small curl tail lures, Tipped with thin strips of mackerel, once on the bottom BANG Straight into a PB Boat Record Ling for me at 67cm.🎣 Sadly it didn’t go back with the swim bladder Blown out so it came home to go under the Knife🔪🍴 Next Drop, a cuckoo wrasse, Next Drop, Cuckoo wrasse and a 59cm Pollock, Next Drop, Cuckoo Wrasse, then it went quite… I got a Pouting but it wasn’t worth talking about, Fish Finger size… We moved about and Corey James Decided to put on a Jigging Set up with a 60g Jig, First drop the lure got a big knock, Second drop bang got into a massive coalie, right up to the side of the boat and it fell off the assist hooks, got it on film but was defo a 60cm+, Biggest I’ve seen in Person! Area Completed Onto the Next Area✅ Moved to a 9.2 Mile of Shore Mark I’ve wanted to try, 120ft ledge that straight drops to 600ft which is nuts, Corey Straight out again with the 60g not sure if it’ll get where we want it but bang straight into another pollock, so I sent 2 big baits down and sadly got a big knock and that was it, moved along the ledge and tried but nothing happened, so we moved back inshore to try the first mark and the currents where mental, 4.6knot at its worst so moved back down towards and maidens and it was the exact same sadly, so we decided to call it a Night, A lot of Grounds Covered this trip, But it was Worth it! GET OUT THERE AND TRY NEW AREAS YOURSELF! NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU’LL FIND!
