I’m almost 17 and have never had a reason to call the cops, other than one time. But, whenever I was younger, my guardians would have me practice typing in 911 over and over. Then finally they told me to dial the number, I was scared because it wasn’t for an emergency. I called and hung up. They told me to do it again and again. Someone answered and I panicked, so I gave the phone to my guardian. The dispatcher had told us, “Honey, you’re doing a good thing to teach her in case something happens. Not a lot of parents do that.” He was so nice and polite with it🥹

ive pranked called people and businesses as a kid and I KNEW at that age that calling 911 was the dumbest choice I could make and I didnt because I knew id be in deep deep shit and that I would be holding up actual emergencies and was extremely wrong

I think situations like this should result in no phone, maybe some classes that teach her about what she has done, some chores/discipline at home, and long written apology to those first responders who acted on her call, and a speech to a judge reflecting what she has learned and how she plans to move forward. If the fudge believes she has learned from the classes, then she’s good :) just my thoughts
