I'm not a hater, ha. Wala koy kampi bisan asa ana nila, and honestly, I'm not a fan of both. Pero basketball is basketball, and it's a game that can really get physical, especially when players are competing seriously. Mao lang, medyo concerning to see some people here in the comments immediately calling the game "pisikalan" or saying nga nasakitan daw ilang idol without even understanding how basketball actually works. Not every physical contact on the court means someone was intentionally trying to hurt another player. Basketball is a contact sport, and there is a clear difference between normal physicality during the game, an actual foul, an overly aggressive play, and intentionally hurting someone. Those things should not be automatically treated as the same. If you're not familiar with basketball, it's okay not to understand everything immediately, but before making strong accusations, at least take the time to understand the rules, the nature of the sport, the context of the game, and what actually happened instead of immediately assuming that every physical interaction was intentional. Supporting your idol is completely valid, but defending them does not mean we have to disregard context, fairness, and common sense. You can be concerned about your idol without immediately assuming that someone deliberately hurt them. At the end of the day, it was a basketball game, and physical contact is naturally part of the sport. Emotions are understandable, especially when it involves someone you support, but emotions should never replace proper understanding. Opinion is free, but understanding takes effort. Sometimes, the wisest thing to do is to watch, learn, and understand the sport first before reacting, because not everything that looks aggressive to someone unfamiliar with basketball is automatically intentional violence. Dili tanan nga atong nakita during the actual game means nga naay intention to hurt someone. Sometimes, it is simply part of the game, and that is something we should understand before turning it into something bigger than what it actually was.
