i am in this exact situation and yes its hard and there are a lot of doubts. i already stopped expecting anything. i love him and i refuse to be miserable which means i am learning to set boundaries. easier said than done. its been 7 yrs and im still learning. we both are. contrary to popular beliefs, i ain't leaving because of what he can and cannot give. i am learning to be a better person and so is he. we agreed to learn to be better together. the only way for someone to survive this type of relationship though is to never abandon yourself.
