I had a colleague who became a friend over 15 years…she told me to get ready for her wedding that would take place within 1 year. She said she would do the courthouse wedding in a couple of weeks - for residency and tax purposes - but the REAL wedding celebration would be done later and that I NEEDED TO BE THERE. The non-wedding wedding took place, and she was wearing a full white gown…people from all the world flew to her town, colleagues from MULTILE countries not just family. The most weddish wedding you would ever imagine, CHURCH AND PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY. I was the only one left out from our friends group. Another friend sent me a selfie from her flight saying: missing you here! Like WHAT!?? Nobody told me there was a wedding!!!!!! I didn’t react …i waited 1+ years by the time of the “so called real wedding” would take place as she said…but…it never happened…never…so i deleted her and a few weeks later she was harassing me through all social media asking why i wasn’t replying but yeah …i never replied… i did not deserve this, just a month before, i helped her land a job in my company of about 15k$ a month…you can simply not invite me (i was sick and it was 2022, still pandemic days, i wouldn’t be able to attend anyways) but why lie about a second weeding and saying I SHOULD BE THERE FOR HER!???!? Like, tell me there is no budget…but A LIE?

I don't agree. Even if she isn't her BFF anymore she could have easily invited her as well if they've been that close for such a long time. Obviously you can invite whomever you want and It is your wedding, but it is a big deal. If I was a really close friend and you invite another friend in a supposedly "family only" event, I would probably be hurt and would cut ties.

And also if she would’ve spoke up sooner when she started feeling that way maybe they wouldn’t have left her out, not that it’s her fault either but maybe they weren’t aware of it, if she hasn’t said anything about it too her or both of them before
