I lived in Boston for the entire duration of the Big Dig. My first time driving through the underground tunnel was on my way to the airport to leave Boston forever 🥲

It was not the highway. Where you are was UNDER the highway as the highway was raised. But I am glad you appreciate Boston.

You would’ve been walking under the freeway there. It was raised up. It was called the Central Artery. Yes, so much better now. Connects waterfront to city more. The project was called the “Big Dig”.

During this 15 year project, there were signs everywhere that said “Rome wasn’t built in a day. If it was, we’d be using their contractor”🤣

These guys come when all the students are gone, and all the residents are on vacation at the cape, and only visited touristy areas with tourists, and say Boston is too touristy and has no “vibe” 🙄 How silly?!?!

The South East Expressway was awful. It was the only way to the airport. The tunnel is great, and takes you straight to the airport.
