stay clear of gender gp. it’s normally first appointment where u speak to a psychiatrist they then give u a diagnosis if they agree u need one. they then send u a list of endocrinologists for u to choose from. u contact them and send ur diagnosis and get bloods done either private or if ur gp will do them. they will give u ur dose which for most ppl will be starting on a low dose and going up after 6 months. u can get ur first dose either private chemist that deliver ur u can wait for if ur gp will do shared care to get ur prescription nhs prescription price. not all gps do shared care and ive found its cheaper to do completely private when on shots. also gp ARE able to abruptly stop ur prescription when ur private so staying private removes that risk. this happened to me and one of my mates. u will get bloods done every 6 months until ur dose stops changing and levels stay stable for a year and then u start doing bloods once a year

im going through anne health, im 15 and should hopefully have my t by Christmas! ive already done one appointment, ive got my second one in two days, and I've already had my bloods done. (there has been some issues with getting my bloods done, but I think that would be an issue with the company they outsource bloods from rather than anne). hopefully after ive had my second session, I should just need to speak to the medical team once or twice! they are pretty expensive though, which is sad. im very lucky to have my family willing to pay it.

Don’t go with gender gp 🙏. I made that mistake, I’m with the gender hormone clinic now and genuinely I’m so glad I switched

The best and only private option people should go with is gendercare imo because it's an upfront higher cost, but there'll be no expensive monthly fees, just like £1k to start, then the cost of prescriptions then occasional follow ups w an endocrinologist. Paying monthly fees long term with every other service just isn't sustainable for most

anne health see under 18s however the intake process to start HRT is slightly longer than if you were to be 18+. i’m with them and they’ve been great so far

im trying to do DIY but i think its genuinely impossible 💔 it can take over two years (ive already been waiting one) just fir the initial appointment, but testosterone is a controlled substance or wtv in canada making it ilegal to get without a prescription and any places that do sell it are insanely sketchy or just not reliable 💔

Also for those who are planning on DIY, definitely research FtM specific tutorials, the ones for cis guys do like a crazy higher amount 😭 so definitely do your research as the entire DIY route is very dependent on your research, make sure to sterilise, and stay safe
