@pointedbyjared: If you have 50,000 Chase points you have enough points for a business class flight to Europe. 🚨 Chase has a 20% transfer bonus to Air Canada Aeroplan running through the end of September, and it changes what 50,000 points can do. Here's exactly how it works. Air Canada is a Star Alliance member, so Aeroplan points book seats on partners like Singapore and SWISS. With the bonus, 50,000 Chase points becomes 60,000 Aeroplan — and 60,000 is exactly what these seats cost. ✅ Singapore Airlines Business — JFK → Frankfurt 60,000 Aeroplan + CA$80 vs $2,626 one way — 5.1 cents per point ✅ SWISS Business — JFK → Zurich 60,000 Aeroplan + CA$80 vs $6,429 one way — 12.7 cents per point Same 50,000 points. Same lie-flat seat. One of them is worth more than $6,000. Aeroplan doesn't pass carrier surcharges, which is why you're paying CA$80 — about $58 — instead of the surcharges other programs tack onto these same flights. Hold the Chase Aeroplan card and you stack another 10% on transfers of 50,000 or more. That 50,000 becomes 65,000 Aeroplan, with points left over after you book. Capped at 25,000 bonus points a year. September 30 is the transfer deadline, not a travel deadline. Move your points now, fly whenever you want. Sapphire Preferred, Sapphire Reserve, Reserve for Business, Ink Business Preferred, and J.P. Morgan Reserve all transfer. Confirm your award space before you transfer. Singapore releases very little partner space and it goes fast. Transfers are usually instant and always permanent — never transfer speculatively. Drop any questions in the comments and I'll answer them. Want me to find the space with you before the bonus ends? Is there an average point difference we should be mindful of for economy vs business? Example with money, if economy and business are only $100, it’s a no brainer to go business. Curious points wise.
