While I wouldn’t say it’s impossible to be racist towards white people, it’s certainly more of a big deal to be racist towards black people which correlates to people being unable to be racist towards white people because they are typically the oppressor and not the oppressed. Not saying you can’t be racist towards a white person, because racism is discrimination to any race, that in which white does fall under, I feel like in hindsight it’s an equal playing field but the concept in itself is overshadowed by history so if a white person is being racist towards and black person, it’s much more easily recognizable than if a black person said a racist remark about a white person simply because people think that “the white have never been oppressed” which realistically we haven’t, so it’s not possible to be racist towards them. I’m not here to hate, but I believe that racism is being addressed wrongly here, it’s not just talking about an individual who has been oppressed, but individuals of certain races who are racially discriminated against. To be honest this whole comment is a nothing burger. Rather than trying to figure out which comment is more racist than the other, we should just not racially discriminate anybody, but unfortunately we do not live in a perfect world.
