@clvveraven: [#Cinderella2021] This Cinderella is definitely one of my favorite adaptations too! That scene where Cinderella and the Prince sing "Perfect" was incredible, it was so well done! I loved the blend of a classic fairytale setting with a modern pop soundtrack because it made the whole film feel so fresh and fun. If I had one critique, it’s that their love story felt a bit rushed. The connection happened so fast that it was a little hard to buy into. The movie was a bit over-stuffed with musical numbers that didn't always push the plot forward. It would've been so much better if they'd cut a few songs and added scenes where Cinderella and the Prince actually got to know each other before the ball, kind of like in Ever After: A Cinderella Story. Pairing that kind of storytelling with a tighter, well-chosen soundtrack would have made the film absolute perfection! That said, the core message was fantastic. It reminds us that no matter who you are, you have the right to dream and make your own choices. A guy doesn't have to become king if he doesn't want to, and a woman is fully capable of leading. Women can choose their careers over marriage, and men can be supportive partners in that journey.
