As a fan of Charles, I completely agree with you, but we need to take radio communications into account. Charles was called in for a pit stop to kill two birds with one stone: to carry out a driver change and change the tires. It was Charles’s decision to stay in the race. They confirmed his decision, and that was already a mistake by the team. Still, the decision to stay was originally Charles’s decision, because he made a mistake in his strategy and, as a result, let the team down — a team that had already made a mess of things. So, Charles wanted to stay — the team supported him — and Lewis is suffering.

The race pace Data the whole weekend says Leclerc has been faster, and yes he should have swapped with Hamilton when he was behind him with Fresher Hards, however the notion Hamilton was faster in this race is out of context. Ferrari lack of anticipation killed race management

You are 100% right! Its a Ferrari disasterclass, not Leclerc or hamilton fault, if Ferrari didnt to many mistakes with pit stops and strategy they would have never been close, Leclerc was miles faster and probably would have ended up on the podium

Spain 2025: Charles goes on the radio saying, “We are losing time,” implying that he wants team orders to swap places with Lewis. He complains that he sacrificed qualifying to be quicker in the race. Miami 2025: Lewis has more pace than Charles. He goes on the radio asking for team orders, they give the team orders, but he isn’t able to gain any positions. They then give team orders to swap places back, and Lewis gives the place back. China 2025: Charles goes on the radio saying, “This is a shame, the pace is there,” implying once again that he wants team orders. They don’t make them. A lap or so goes by, and Lewis goes on the radio saying he’s going slow, doesn’t have the pace, and offers to give up his position to Charles. They then decide to swap places

Ferrari needs to decide quickly who the number one driver is and who the number two is. I think that Hamilton at times can be very ego driven and will do whenever he needs to finish ahead of Charles. I imagine he thinks he's this generation's Michael Schumacher and can bully his teammates around. If the drivers are left to drive I have a suspicion we'd see lewis try to take out charles as often as he can.
