@brandoncrouse3: On September 11th, Captain Jason Dahl made a simple decision to switch flights so he could surprise his wife after returning from a trip, never knowing that choice would place him in the cockpit of United Airlines Flight 93. Flight 93 crashed in a field in rural Pennsylvania. His wife Sandy Dahl struggled with addiction in the years after his death. Suffering from nightmares and PTSD. Tragically, she died in her sleep 11 years later on May 25th, 2012. She was 52 years old. The autopsy report from the Jefferson County Coroner's office in Colorado said alcohol, painkillers, anti-depression drugs and anti-anxiety drugs were found in her system, The Denver Post reported. The coroner's office found that Dahl's death was "consistent with the combined impact of alcohol and multiple drug toxicity," according to the Post. Over the course of a decade, she worked with the Families of Flight 93 on building a memorial and a charity in her husband Jason’s name.
