A father with sole custody tells me all I need to know about bio mom. also a parent posting that kind of drama from the child’s hospital room (no matter who is right) also speaks volumes.

okay. but if stepmother and bio dad are "the good parents," then wouldnt it be their responsibility to do whats right for the child regardless of what bio mom is doing? because doing whats right for the child would have been keeping them overnight in the hospital as the doctors suggested.

I always think of Amber and Gary from teen mom. There absolutely are mothers out there who not only don’t have any legal rights to the child, but they only want to parent when they feel like it. And they use that “mother” card to hurt the ex or the new wife, and it’s never actually about the child.

“There are bio parents that suck”. There are also bio parents who don’t pay a dime of child support, much less extracurricular activities, medical bills etc. only have visitation 2 weekends a month and still fail to get their kids for that. Don’t show up to the first day of school, games, graduations, events. But tell everyone how difficult you make things on them 🙃

Stepmom here. Bio mom literally lost full custody, was not aloud to know our address and didn’t have to pay child support. Her and her husband did things no child should go through. So no not all moms deserve to be in the picture.

Whew 😅 this sounds like my stepkids mother. Didn’t do a THING for them. Then had the nerve to show up at football games trying to fight me asking why I am there. Girl I signed him up. Bring him to practice. Conditioning all summer. Football gear etc. where you been at MOM??? Not all mothers are good mothers.

Full time stepmom here! Couldn’t agree more. This is a huge fear of mine. I’m the one at every game, every practice, every class party, all the field trips. But at the end of the day the world views us as just an extra. It’s absolutely wild. Being a stepmom is not for the weak.
