@tariqzzda1st: This video has been in the works, but the recent passing of Quévin Castro inspired me to complete this. I send my condolences and prayers to his family & loved ones🕊️❤️. #blackhealthmatters #cardiacriskinyoung #awareness #blackathletes #cardiology
A lot of these young men have silent or apparent sleep apnea left completely unchecked and untreated for decades this causes a number of progressive heart issues but doctors keep dismissing the long term impacts of sleep apnea

For anyone in the UK who doesn’t know - Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) offers cardiac screening for young people aged 14–35. It can help identify heart conditions that may otherwise go unnoticed. Search “CRY cardiac screening” to find upcoming screenings near you ❤️

the cardiac risk in the young (CRY) offers screening and support for these things!! it’s insane how much more prevalent cardiac issues are in sportspeople than it’s presented.

What type of screening should people be asking for, will it be with their gp in the first instance?
