@el_jefe_trades: Replying to @az8618 8/23/26 – Bond yields are on the rise and there’s a move on by the US treasury to double up its long-term bond purchases as they attempt to tamp down soaring yields. Where to from here? ##Bonds##DC##Politics##Investing##FYP
Do you believe the current Republicans in power are moral, ethical and law abiding citizens?

My two cents :
I like your approach - research and facts are the only basis for knowledge and understanding!

Now considering Schwab $SCHP tips fund or $PULS for fixed income for the next 2 years. $PULS is more stable and the expense ratio is higher at 0.15 % a trade-off I'm willing to make.

I am a Trump supporter and love everything he is doing...however I love your prospective on everything investing and your criticism of the administration is your opinion and i respect that. unlike liberals we don't hate those that disagree with us. Onto more important things...I would love a video on how the bond market works. I have been looking at it and I am unsure how it works. Example...if you purchase a 10 year bond at 5%, do you have to wait 10 years to get your 5%? Does it earn 5% compounded for 10 years?

Any thoughts on the market before the election and after. Given the polls indicating dems will at least get the house, it seems having the market drop before the election would add another nail in the GOP coffin, based on that would think “they” would want to keep the market up until at least then. If GOP loses the house at a minimum that means stale mate which makes the market happy, no policy changes, however tanking market would be ammo against the Democrats post elections. Anyway its all conjecture

Thank you for the reply! I want to believe that fed is independent, hopefully will see some evidence that it is.

Also decided I couldn't support either party. Went Independent 6 years ago after being Republican 50 years.

I try to stay sane and positive, but feel chaos is coming. I think the Dems sweep the midterms and move to impeach. If they try to take him out, Trump won’t go quietly, he’ll take the whole damn world down with him. 😅 he’s objectively on the mental decline
