The skirt is inspired by the traditional dancers’ skirt, paying homage to the vibrant performances, rhythms, and cultural traditions that have been passed down through generations. Adding an artistic touch, the dress features a hand-painted representation of Sierra Leone, created by a talented Sierra Leonean painter. The artwork celebrates the breathtaking beauty of our country while highlighting our national animal, the chimpanzee, a symbol of strength and pride.
