@themegandaily: One of the most heartbreaking Holocaust memorials in the world is “Shoes on the Danube.” The Holocaust memorial commemorates those who were victims of the White Arrow Party. The White Arrow Party was responsible for deporting thousand of Jewish people to concentration camps. It was also responsible to taking many Jewish, Romani and other minorities to the Danube River, ordering them to remove their shoes (shoes were seen as valuable and could be resold) and then…they would meet a horrific end.
