As a spark driver, we're not taking orders thats taking us 20 or 30 miles for $15. it has to be worth our time and gas. I had Walmart send me an or for $50 to drive 70 miles. it's not worth it

We’re not employees we’re independent contractors. We choose what deliveries that we want to take and you’re right we’re not gonna take them without a tip because gas is too much.

Yeah you are gonna have to start tipping lady. Walmart does not pay them enough and they have to use their own gas (which is expensive now) so if there is no tip, why would they take your order?

Walmart aka spark only pays like $7 for a pick up order depending on size it could be a little more but not much. Each additional stop only adds a couple bucks. So no one in their right mind gonna drive 40 miles round trip for $7

It isn't a issue with enough drivers. It is definitely a pay and distance issue. If you are referring to spark, they don't work for Walmart. They are independent contractors.

I’ll be honest. Even if Walmart did pay enough for me to take the trip, I’m probably not taking it. People who don’t tip are typically the ones that cause issues for the drivers 🙈

Order smaller orders instead of doing a huge order. You’ll have someone take it. They do increase the pay when someone doesn’t take the order. You’ll be better placing small orders

3 months ago they lowered the base pay for the delivery drivers, it used to be semi worth it with no tip and maybe a little boost. Now I can’t afford to take anything without a tip most of the time because I’d spend more in gas and wear/tear on the vehicle

We aren’t Walmart employees, we’re contracted with Spark. The pay is so low that without tips, these trips aren’t worth it especially with using our own cars. The wear and tear and the price of gas we’re looking for trips that pay well.

No, they don’t make us use our cars that’s what we signed up to do but with Gabbi so expensive then find a friend to go get your food put in the order as a pick up and see if your friend wants to go do it for free and drive it for free to your house. See how much they want to be your friend then.

I stopped using delivery because spark drivers don't want to find the items I ask for. You're telling me a giant Walmart is out of 11 items out of 20 all to be replaced with whatever they felt like grabbing. And you want a 25% tip on top of that.

Cause your not tipping no one wants to take your order. Walmart just lowered the base pay for these orders, they depend on customers tips now to push the deliveries…which is absolutely WILD!! So there system because you don’t tip are waiting for someone else’s big tip to piggy back your order. Same thing with hourly employees in the store, they pay them so low and depend on the government to cover their health insurance and food stamps. Walmart is playing corporate mind games with its employees and consumers.

I work at walmart and they just recently cut deliveries out, we only shop for instore pickup. so now the drivers shop for the deliveries and sometimes they don't pick up the order. that's why it's delayed. Corporate made this decision unfortunately.

my recommendation as a driver is smaller orders are better if you can't tip. Three 10 item orders will get you your stuff faster than one 30 item order. also if you live very far from Walmart and don't tip that is your issue. I need $1-2 per mile because gas is so expensive.
