many companies own the realestate the offices are in. empty offices means no rent. so instead of downsizing floor space they made every one go back in.

Productivity significantly dropped with wfh at my organisation. Why else would people not want to come back because they’d actually have to deliver more (the minimum) when they are in the office.

Majority of the younger/new grad staff needs hands on support and face to face is a great way to teach, collaborate, mentor. Not to mention teach them how to be professional

Partially right. It’s mostly because a high percentage of people who work remotely always have excuses why they can’t actually work… like the internets out or it’s too loud in the coffee shop or they’re just hanging out at the pool or getting their nails done. They ruined it for those of us who actually worked hard remotely.
