Wouldn’t she have made it if the order had been given to shut the watertight compartments earlier but they didn’t wanna do that and admit to the amount of damage and hesitated too long leading to flooding spreading faster than the pumps could keep up with? I swear I remember learning the actual damage sustained wasn’t beyond what she was designed to handle but they didn’t follow procedures intended to slow and contain.

If Boiler Room 5 and 6 hadn’t been damaged this could have happened. They would likely have ferried all the passengers to other vessels.

Habría llegado sin haber tenido un desenlace tan triste y con tantas vidas humanas. Pero, lamentablemente, su destino habría sido similar al Britannic (sobrevivió a la I Guerra Mundial, pero fue desguazado) o del Olympic (se hundió tras chocar contra una mina en la I GM, fue reconvertido a barco hospital)
