@adhdlandia: What were they thinking?! @goodgood_apparel and @Callaway From this mom, please do better and get more than just a bunch of yes men in the room. Get someone with some nerve that isn’t afraid to bring some common sense into these think tanks. #goodgood #goodgoodgolf #callawaygolf #badads #breakingnews

I think the most likely scenario is they didn’t think about how this ad would look to people who don’t understand that Alexis and Garrett and Getty and Marissa all hang out together and they’re really tight. I’m not excusing the ad. I know that they’re all really close friends because I watch their content, and I thought the ad was tone deaf, and can easily see why people would find this offensive. I’m guessing that was their thought process. I could be wrong though.

Even the wording layout was intentional reading as 'HE DRIV we already get pushed on the course when we have no where to go. Lacks empathy and maturity to say the least, and there other ad had a man take it not checked, weird & freaky then he comes off unstable. 😳

I don’t understand how they thought this was ok. I understand they thought it was a joke and it would get attention, and I think Alexis was fine with it obviously they all saw it too, but how do they not think about how it would be interpreted

I live near Moore County, NC where multiple world class golf courses are and I can’t wait to see how this plays out. This was such a vile ad.

I don’t like it buttttt I was waiting for tiger wood wife to come out and pick up her pink on vs his blue one and hit him with it for doing that to her with the guys behind that cheering her whooping him with the club on him and on the green. But also not really a good message either

Good Good just said the quiet part out loud. I’m disgusted by this commercial. It’s not only the “bro culture” being promoted, but the fact that this concept was developed, approved, produced and ultimately greenlit. At a time when the golf industry claims it wants the game to feel more welcoming and inclusive, this sends the exact opposite message.

Dr. Andrea Hogan :
domestically abusive marriage. My ex-husband and I were members of a country club for years, but I never played. While he golfed, I stayed home with our children. When we separated, one of my first acts of defiance—and independence—was joining the WGA at that same club and finally learning the game for myself. Two years later, golf has become one of the most healing parts of my life. I experienced physical abuse during my marriage. So watching Callaway use violence against a woman as humor in an advertisement genuinely broke my heart. Domestic violence isn’t a punchline. And seeing it portrayed that way by a brand connected to the game that gave me such a powerful place to rebuild myself was especially painful.
