Yes! Thank you! When I first came to Christ I had a NKJV and didn’t hardly understand anything. Finally in 2020 I got a NIV and NLT and my walk with Christ flourished! It BLOSSOMED! After some time I went back to NKJV to see if I’d understand and I understood way more so I bought a KJV on sale and though I use it to see how it would be and although I understood, my brain was saying no. I like to compare all versions when studying because some words in certain versions help me understand more I am team whatever helps you understand and get closer to God and for me, it’s modern English🥰

There's nothing wrong with reading KJV and another translation also.

Had a lady say today she only reads KJV, it’s the only real one, the other translations change words and God said not to. She had no knowledge that the original text of scripture was not English but Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic.

I can’t believe that everyone believes like this. I have came across so many things that are NOT what KJV says. Be careful! Use Bible Hub if you need it.! I do read a NLT in a chronological study every day but I have to go back to KJV. KJVsilver is an amazing study Bible it makes into words we use today if it doesn’t it has the words for you at the end of the verse. It does take away and add. I just got finished reading in my NLT were Jesus was angry several times in the gospels and he is not ANGRY that goes totally against what he preached.

I agree with you 100! Because growing up it was only KJV but I started doing my own research and today I have about every kind of translation except for a few of them 😂 but yes I love NLT NIV ESV CSB and the NKJV is way better than KJV 💕📖
