This is so wrong but i understand why people think this way. The real cut is men with money are not intentionally romantic or make it a big deal. A rich man would fly a woman out to a dream destination but he won’t put a word on that act. Give this act to a struggling man and he will sing a song about it for rest of his life.

I usually agree with most of your takes but this one is just no, you dont always do romantic things to get the girl’s approval or validation, sometimes you genuinely just want to make your girl happy simply because she does everything in her power to make you happy and its the least you can do to make her feel appreciated

Other way around, lots of people strive for the career solely for the purpose to get a better romantic partner. From an evolutionary perspective, it makes sense that men in particular would strive for status and resources, since these historically increased their ability to attract a mate.
