ive said this to a friend whos still serving. they teach these brave men and women how to be killers deploy them to hell on earth. and then there just expected to go back to normal life like nothing ever happened. the government dont do enough to help

after my 13 month deployment to iraq I was home only 3 weeks before I was tackled by my fellow soldiers. MPs took me to a Ausilm for military. 3 months later they released me. I don't ever leave my house except for va appointment.

my dad served in Korea and Vietnam, my mom said the man she married never came back, he was never the same, he suffered from undiagnosed PTSD because it wasn't a thing then. He actually died in Vietnam, we just didn't know it....Agent Orange, it took him 25yrs later.

Had 2 roommates who were both in the military. They grew up together and it was their dream to go into the army together. Before they deployed we threw a party. By the end of it we were crying tears of joy for them….2 months later one died when he hit an IED….1 moths after that the other one took his life. I never knew when they left it was last conversation we would have face to face. May God welcome them with loving arms🙏🥺

911 feels like yesterday. was in the Army at the time unit deployed OEF 02 to 03 got out Honorable. But it all remains forever etched in my mind! forever changed a lot of us.

3 deployments. Been shot. Can’t hear out of my right ear, no feeling in 3 fingers. Left thigh muscle gone from a bullet, ankles click when I walk. I’d do it all over again.

Took me so long to snap out of it . It’s the only way I can explain it . All on my own no Va , nobody . 15 yrs of that stuck in a circle 8 over and over . I still see it and deal with it but it never goes away

My best friend came home we went out and partied met up with all our friends and we never imagined that would be the last time we would see our friend RIP SSGT David Simms thank you for your service and we miss you !

Reminds me of my Pop's, he served in Vietnam, was a paramedic, and retired a captain in the fire service. He would stair at the wall for hours, just gone.✌️

It’s should be mandatory that when a soldier comes home he is giving his own property a country club access to the finest paid service every week free medical and when he needs to come in a retirement village it’s all paid for

Yes Sir, I’ve told my wife along time ago that same exact thing I’m physically home but spiritually and emotionally never came home I’m seeing a Veteran counselor for the last 6 years at the beginning 3 times a week and now 1 time every two weeks get help
