@simonberger.art: There’s an intricate web of technical disciplines that goes into a piece long before the glass itself is ever struck. It starts with heat-treating and hand-sharpening steel hammers, welding structural mounting hardware, and precision-drilling anchor points. From there, it shifts to carpentry - milling timber, framing, sanding profiles, and polishing surfaces before applying the specialized background paint coats that give the piece its depth. Balancing welding, millwork, and coldworking forces you to master how wildly different materials interact under stress. Every final layout is the result of a long sequence of trades working together, and navigating that precise, multi-layered rhythm is my absolute favorite part of the process. #SimonBerger #SimonBergerArt #GlassArt
