Two versions. Same fragrance family. Two very different experiences on my skin. 😮‍💨 I’ve spent time with both @Arabiyat Prestige Mahd Al Dhahab EDP and Extrait, and one thing I’ve learned is that stronger doesn’t always mean better, and Extrait doesn’t automatically mean heavier. Let me explain. 👀 ✨ THE ORIGINAL EDP The original Mahd Al Dhahab gives me a richer, heavier, more intense experience. There’s a sweetness and depth that I enjoy, but there’s also a sharpness in the opening that can be a little overwhelming to my nose. And when I say sharp, I mean that opening can REALLY announce itself! 😂 ✨ THE EXTRAIT Now THIS is where things get interesting. When I first experienced the Extrait, I expected it to be an even bigger, heavier version of the original. But that wasn’t my experience at all. Instead, I got something noticeably smoother, softer around the edges, and easier on my nose. That sharpness I experienced with the EDP? Significantly reduced. The Extrait gives me a beautiful, creamy vanilla sweetness with amber, woods, and musk that come together so nicely as it develops. And here’s the part that REALLY surprised me… THE EXTRAIT LASTS LONGER ON MY SKIN THAN THE EDP‼️ 💥 Now, before anybody says, ‘Well, it’s an Extrait, so it’s SUPPOSED to last longer,’ let’s clear something up. 👀 A higher fragrance concentration doesn’t automatically guarantee better longevity. There are plenty of EDPs that outperform extraits. It all comes down to the formulation and how that fragrance performs on YOUR skin. And in MY experience with these two, the Extrait has consistently given me better longevity, even though the EDP has a heavier, more intense opening. The EDP announces itself louder. The Extrait stays with me longer. 😮‍💨🔥 And that’s exactly why I always say you have to experience fragrances for yourself. My takeaway so far? 🖤 EDP: Richer. Heavier. More intense. Sharper opening. 💛 EXTRAIT: Smoother. Creamier. Less sharp. Longer-lasting on my skin. Same DNA. Different energy.
