It always boggles my mind when people say it’s selfish to bring a child into this world “especially in this day and age” like this is literally the best time ever to have children compared to the past. People were literally having kids in world wars and the great depression like this is literally the best and safest time so far to have a child IF you want to.

Nope 2010 to 2019 were better ! Less homophobia, less racism, technology was human friendly and not affecting society negatively, great economy, great air , great opportunities, music was good and etc.

Nearly everything from the past is better now but still evryone still romanticise it and cries and begges to born in 1960s 1980s ect as if half of your rights wouldn’t be gone

I was literally thinking this yesterday in my bed. I’m a 22 year old woman living in my own apartment in a big city. Like wow no matter how shitty uni or work is, I live a better life than 99% of the women in the history of the humanity

Hedonic treadmill. Also I don’t think humans were built to be this aware of what’s going on around us at all times. Algorithms can feed you a doom loop of negativity. We’re meant to be more present in our lives so now we have to make a conscious effort to stop looking at these damn phones
