The problem is the standards I hold for myself are not how people treat me because I can’t control that. They are how I treat and show up for people even when they suck and don’t deserve it. There was so many times I sucked and didn’t deserve that had one person hung in there, probably would’ve snapped me out of it and literally changed my life. I’ll continue being the one devastated on that off chance I get the opportunity to be the person to show up for someone that I would’ve done anything for when I needed ANYONE. I’ll stay broken if I can stop one person from feeling that depth of loneliness.

I’m divorced but there are people that have to make the decision to stay married for economical reasons. I know someone that is disabled and can’t afford to leave. Until you’ve been there don’t judge and put everyone in the same category.
