I saved a pigeon from a cat when I was a kid. I mended its injured wing and took care of it until it was ready to fly away. It used to come back to my house every day at exactly 3pm. One day it came home with a mate. It continued to visit me every day at 3, until one day it didn’t… I miss that pigeon.

don't wanna break y'all's heart right now BUT: pigeons live up to 30 years in captivity (the are literally meant to be pets) they only survive about 3/5 years in the wild 😭

I think this is really amazing. I had a wild dove for almost my entire life. I thought jesus spoke to me through it. But maybe you should take it inside soon, theres lots of predators outside and even hunters, and also diseases in the wild. My bird got a dove illness from my brothers dog trailing in bacteria from outside birds, that and thats how it passed away
