if it’s the store i’m thinking of, i used to work there too and the person who owns it knows the back room door doesn’t lock and close fully. back when the balloon incident happened there i was locked in the bathroom we had back there with 3 other employees and like 7-9 customers. management at haywood mall doesn’t care and won’t listen to the complaints of the workers there! my mom works there and im so tired of having to worry about her everytime something like this happens!!!!

Just because everyone went through it, doesnt mean shes the only one who is not okay about it. Several costco employees werent told they were safe for hours after the incident. They didnt know what was going on yet. If yall have never been through it, you wouldnt understand.

They have increased security, and as the incident was between individuals, there's not much more the mall can do outside of banning concealed carry. SC is a constitutional carry state so you don't need a permit to carry a firearm in public. That being said, life must go on after tragedy so yea, the mall will reopen.

i worked in the augusta mall, i was genuinely shocked to hear that haywood got shot up ngl. in augusta there was a lockdown once a year some times twice a year. had two people die the five years i worked at that mall. if it’s happening in schools then it’ll happen anywhere.
