The storm particularly affected the Vanoi Valley, including the commune of Canal San Bovo. The heaviest hail was reported in the districts of Prade, Zortea, and Ronco. After the storm, the ground was practically covered in a thick layer of ice. Local media reported very large hailstones: some were compared to apricots, and in the most severe cases in the Vanoi and Primiero districts, to peaches. The hail was accompanied by heavy rain, thunderstorms, numerous lightning strikes, and gusty winds. The consequences of the storm were severe. In the Vanoi Valley, damage to roofs, dormer windows, cars, and solar panels was reported. Large hailstones shattered car windows and damaged gardens and vegetable plots. In some places, roads and other areas were literally covered in ice.
