I used to have GVHC. Let me tell you they are the worst. Never saw the same doctor ever. Waited 3-4 months for a single appointment. They don’t care.

i worked there from 2009-2015. walked out on my lunch break one day because i was overworked and underpaid. the newer providers would ask me for medical advice too smh

This is the reason why I was fed up with Merced county providers using Medi-cal. I got pregnant and found out things that were not good during my pregnancy and I was being high risk and could have lost my life and thankfully a gynecologist here in Turlock saved my life and my baby was born super healthy and I was also able to get healthy. I got referred to Stanford and was getting weekly checkups at the hospital with weekly blood draws. I lost faith with all providers in Merced it’s not like it use to be. I was super miserable and thankfully god found a way for me!

If I had stayed in Merced County while trying to figure out the “lump” on the side of my foot, I honestly believe I wouldn’t be here today. I could have died from the way I was being treated and the lack of answers. Thankfully, one doctor in Merced County recognized that I needed more specialized care and referred me to a friend of his in San Francisco. That referral changed everything. I am alive today because he made that decision and because someone finally listened. I will forever be grateful.

Yup. My mom would get so sick she would be bed ridden. They said it was migraines and it was severe nasal congestion. Finally one dr took us serious and orders some test and it turns out my mom had multiple sclerosis. She’s finally getting treatment.

My husband was on 8 different medications after his stroke. They just kept giving him more and more. Seeing different drs with every appt. I switched him to a regular dr office. He’s on ONE med now and has lost 150lbs.

I had a lump in my leg, the doctor said i was FAT and I need to lose weight. I lost weight and the lump was still there. turns out it was a huge blood clot the size of a golf ball. I had to get surgery to remove it immediately, all that happened after I got Sutter.

My adult daughter uses them. They are horrible. Medicaid patients get treated horribly because they know you don’t have any options.

I went to Golden valley for years because I had no other choice but that's the worst clinic ever when I changed to another clinic I found out that I had a rare illness and they never told me 😭 for years I was a patient and they don't care about you

They are one of the worst facilities! A lot of people from minority and underserved communities go there, including individuals who may have had limited health insurance opportunities and may not know any better.

As a former employee, unfortunately this doesn’t surprise me with the way things were structured. I’m so sorry you experienced such poor quality of care, especially while dealing with something as serious as cancer. Sending love from one cancer warrior to another. ❤️
