August Animation Meme/Trend (Countryhumans) Song: August Idea from: @rossie @rossie === Context: Japanese occupation of Asia during Second Sino-Japanese War (≈1937-1945) and World War 2 (1939-1945). During Japan's occupation of East/Southeastern Asia, the Japanese commited many, many w@r crimes against civilians and soldiers alike. Millions were lost. While this did take place in the past, I used their modern designs to show how, to this day, Japan is still committing crimes against these countries. In the way that they're trying to cover up this part of history, at least. For example, a statue designated in memory of the Japanese atrocities commited against Filipina women had been taken down after Japan showed it's displeasure in it. It's so important to acknowledge that the Japanese atrocities did happen and to acknowledge all the people who had to suffer through it, but in my opinion, Japan has shown, in many ways, how they are NOT doing that. They've also attempted to stop others from acknowledging it too (as you can see in the example above), and the worst part is, it's working 😭!! Disclaimer: To all of my Japanese viewers, I am not trying to put down any of you. None of the events that happened in the past were your fault, and Japan's personification here represents the government more than the people. I just believe that the Japanese goverment has been wrong to put off/ignore the war cr!mes they've commited in the past. I believe that the people who suffered/d!ed deserve to have thier stories spread. I hope I'm conveying my thoughts/beliefs to y'all right, because in the end, all I mean in good. This is the first time I've put this disclaimer but it stands true for all my videos!! If I make a video about Britain it's not meant to put down all British people and if I make a video about Russia or the US it's also not meant to put down all Russian and American people. I believe that there is stupidity in hating someone just based off on their nationality. Also, the words on the fabric hanging from Japan's hat is supposed to read "D3ath to All", but I don't think I wrote it very well LOL. I am not fluent in Japanese, unfortunately. The saying is based on how Japanese soldiers would either win or d!e trying. That, and wll the d3ath Japan brought upon Asia.
