what happens when they say they're done and they no longer show any empathy, care or consideration and especially respect? does that mean the avoidant is escaping accountability or the mask really just fell off and it was too much energy to keep up? I found out my partner of 10 years cheated on me with someone 12 years younger when he got promoted at work. (not physically yet, but after he broke up with me he brought someone home to sleep with two weeks after I temporarily left the house).
