18 months in and most nights he still wakes up 1-3 times, mainly because he wants snuggles and to sleep next to me and sometimes for a quick bum change, milk and snuggs. He usually wakes up around 2am, 3:30am and 5am. Sometimes he wakes up once between 2-5am. And very rarely like maybe once a month to once every 2 months he’ll sleep the whole night. I tell myself he just wants to be close with mama and some nights it’s teething (he’s currently getting his back bottom molars and one side is starting to cut through). As exhausted as I am from broken sleep and being up every 45-60 minutes (I’m also 27w pregnant with his sister so I’m up peeing all night too 😅😂) and as much as I would love for him to sleep through the night, I know once he does I’m going to be so sad and miss nighttime snuggles and kissing his cute lil head while he sleeps in my arms 🥺 I feel like I’ve missed out on so much with my boy since I went back to work full time 8 months ago so I’m soaking in the little moments I still get to have with him 🥺❤️I’m so proud and thankful of the incredible little boy he’s growing into, but I miss my tiny baby so much 😭❤️🩹 hubby finally got the all clear to go to work though so I’m thankfully going to be cutting back to 1-2 days a week until I go on mat leave for baby peanut

My oldest didn’t sleep through the night until he was 3. I tried everything. With our second I read about “sleep pressure” and week before she turned 1 I forgot to turn the monitor on one night and after that she slept through that night. Now we joke “have you tried forgetting” sleep deprivation does crazy things lol
