My late grandfather met Harry Truman when he was a soldier. He did not like the man because he shook everyone’s hand except for his. It was something he would always talk about. Though his language was more colorful.

its baffling how truman is remembered as a great president when in fact he was one of the worst. the democratic party screwed Henry Wallace who was the popular choice for VP in 44, and a progressive. One of the biggest what if, I dont think Wallace wouldve dropped the bombs, and he would've continued the progressive legacy of FDR. Also proof that the dnc has a history of curb stomping progessives in favour of elitist boot lickers.
