My husband was sober when we met and I drank occasionally. When we started dating I respected his decision to not drink and decided to become sober as well. We both knew it wasn't the life we wanted for each other or our children ❤️

Being with an active alcoholic really changes something in your brain. I can’t be with another whether they’re on their sober journey or not. It has left me damaged and I no longer view alcohol the same. Sad but it’s the truth.

610 days sober after 30 years hungover and alcohol just doesn’t belong in my life period. I don’t go out with friends anymore because they’re still in that loop I was of Happy Hour til sloppy drunk 5 days a week
