@unapologeticallyafter: Let me tell you what happens after the bell. Everyone cheers. Your family cries. The nurses clap. Someone records it for social media. You smile because you're supposed to. You cry because you're relieved. And for one single beautiful moment it feels like the nightmare is over. Then you drive home. And it's quiet. Really quiet. No more treatment schedule. No more nurses who know your name. No more team of people whose entire job was to keep you alive. No more plan. Just you. A calendar full of nothing. And a mind full of everything. The first headache sends you spiraling. The first backache makes you Google at 1am. The first time you feel something weird in your body your hands start shaking before your brain even catches up. You start avoiding mirrors. Avoiding silence. Avoiding sleep because the nightmares are louder than the daytime. And the worst part? You feel like you can't talk about it. Because you're supposed to be celebrating. You're supposed to be living your best second-chance life. You're supposed to be the miracle. The comeback story. The proof that it all works out. But nobody gave you a manual for this part. The part where you're cancer free but anxiety full. The part where your body is healing but your mind is still in that chair getting poison pumped through your veins. The part where you smile in public and unravel in private. They gave you a bell. They gave you a certificate. They gave you a "you did it." They didn't give you a therapist's number. A support group. A heads up. A warning. A single honest conversation about what the after actually looks like. The bell is beautiful. I'm not taking that away from anyone. But can we please start talking about what happens when the ringing stops and the silence starts? Because that's where most survivors are living right now. In the silence. Alone. Wondering why they don't feel the way everyone expects them to feel. You're not broken. You're not ungrateful. You're not weak. You're in the after. And the after is brutal. And you deserve more than a bell. 🤍 #lifeaftercancer #cancersurvivor #womenaftercancer #healingaftercancer #cancerjourney #postcancerjourney #survivorship #postcancerlife #cancerreality

Sorry. I saw my husband go through this. I can only say one thing, might not be popular, but give it all to God! Pray! He’ll listen! He’ll send you what you need - resources to get through it! Prayers for you!!! ❤️

Or the what if’s or the why me’s or the guilt of surviving when children dont. Or the why did my body betray me or the when will it return. The ringing of a bell is just that you are moving on to the next chapter. I call what now. 😏

I definitely upped my Xanax and it helped with the panic attacks.
