That man is some sort of cryptid, but maybe not a malicious one. I can absolutely see this entire interaction from the perspective of two boys who drove to your bar in a black impala. Alternatively a freakishly tall dude wearing a leather duster and a hat (the hat is very important) comes in and says that it's time to go home, and old man goes "Aaah, Sir Knight, yes I believe that it is."

My sister had a friend in high school that lived in a house like that. He and his brother went to 2 different schools because of the location of their rooms in the house. Eventually 1 "moved into his brother's room" so he could go to the other school.

I used to work at a bookstore (not b&n) where majority of the clientele were old people. Man their stories from back in the day are WILD. You just never know what’s gonna happen next and they never have a reason to tell you, they just do.
