I have these. well not THESE specifically but same thing. installed them high up in the door. might not stop someone from breaking in. But it sure as hell helped with the kids not being able to open the door by themselves unsupervised.

Don't use the screws that come with it. Find yourself some 2 1/2 inch screws and get them into the frame and you'll be good.

Hi, official door kicker here. Don’t use the screws they send you, use 4” wood screws instead.

OK, I have a question, this won’t laccidentally lock on its own will it? Like if I go out of town and lock my back door with it and my side door with it, but not my front door, it won’t do it on its own?

Doesn’t work if your door is custom, if your door way doesn’t look like his, it won’t work. Learned the hard way.

I think it’s hilarious unless they can’t get in through a window or you’re living in some type of apartment building if they wanted to get in all they had to do was set fire to the door like, how would you get out?
