yeah, I'm sure China has its own share of problems but every time someone tells me something "scary" about China it's something that we also do but they at least get something in exchange for it, we get surveillance AND we get to just curl up and die if we have any kind of health problem

I don't mind a surveillance state if I have cheaper Healthcare, affordable housing, can eat, affordable education, have ample time off, have clean water, and can go on vacation sometimes. like the American conservatives don't get it(to include liberals). a surveillance state is only bad if you can't trust your government to do the right things for society
