only reason I can come up with is once they return to normal life and their biggest worries become job security and paying bills Ichigo doesnt wanna make it official until he knows he can go into marriage with a stable job and career that pays the bills and, yknow, allows them to be able to afford starting a family. i feel like he'd be very logical in that sense, if not a bit over the top, but understandable.
