Rockstar getting sales doesn't benefit the 'games industry' it just means rockstar makes money again Always delaying the PC release because SONY pays them to is bad for the games industry

The games industry has gone the way gamers don't want. Expensive initial game, then DLC and micro transactions on top. Digital only licensing that can be withdrawn at any point. Online requirements meaning they can just turn the entire game off by shutting down servers or the game will refuse to function with outages. Would you buy a stripped down car for £80,000 but you need to spend another £10,000 for the steering wheel or a "season pass" for £40,000 which includes the steering wheel and seats, but not the drivers seat, that's a micro transaction outside of the "season pass". It'll also only drive while the manufacturers servers are up and working and they can just pick the car and take it back whenever they want so they have the money and you have no car?

honestly I couldn't care, the hacker pretending to be high and mighty whilst getting people to donate to his crypto coin shows his moral compass. when it's out I'll buy it and play it. haven't watched any of the leaks, id rather just experience it myself first hand

I don’t think it’d be catastrophic for society. 99% of the player base do not have jailbroken PS5s, so it’s not possible to run a pirated copy. They’ll need to buy a legit copy. Also, I’d imagine PC players would be super keen to buy the game legitimately anyway without risking malware builds of a buggy early version port. They will still make a lot of money, and now they have an excuse to lay off all the hard working staff. You should care more about the workers in the industry rather than a corporation.
