Had a man sitting next to me in an empty bus. he rubbed himself the whole time. it wss disgusting and I was about to cry. couldn't get away and was in a "freeze" mode back then, otherwise I would've alerted the driver or something (I was sitting close to the driver for protection)

I have had men do this with treadmills at the gym, the whole gym is empty but they get the one right next to me. I always skip equipment if I'm able because I'm empathetic.

The best course of action is to IMMEDIATELY say "oh excuse me" and move seat nearer to driver if possible. We shouldn't need to do that but it's safest. If your quick witted enough pretend to be talking to someone on your phone like "where, where are you?" and look around...this will make the man think you are "last minute getting off cos of person on phone" then once safely away from him saying " I'm looking but I can't see you" then sit in different seats lol 😆

I started a small confrontation on Chicago metra train over this. There was a train car that had 1 person in every 2-person seat. I was the only woman in the train car. An older man got on the train. I was in a middle-ish location. Of every person, he chose me. I asked him to get up, I was going to move. Before I left, I asked him why he chose me. I said: I'm a young woman, alone. Every other seat had a man in it. Went did you choose to sit with me? He was flabbergasted. I went to a more crowded car.
