@mattalty: Improve Your Running With This Drill👇 Save for your next session 🔒 Dribbles are one of the best drills you can do to teach your body how to run with more power and efficiency. This is because they reinforce the technique found in top-end speed. There are three versions of running dribbles: Over the Ankle, Over the Calf, Over the Knee. The Benefits of dribbles are: - Helps to practice striking under your hips - Reduces unnecessary backside mechanics - Reinforces cyclical motion AKA the “whip” motion thats found in top-end speed mechanics - Teaches contacting the ground efficiently - Improves torso control How to perform them… Create a small cycle motion while striking underneath your hips. Don’t overextend on the kick out, it’s a small, quick motion, not a big reach. Push / bounce off the ground each time you make contact ( Bounce/push is just a feeling cue) Dribbles finish through the balls of the feet so keep your toes up & ankles flexed. Start slowly & master each step first. Each step : In place → Marching/walking → half speed → Dribbles at full speed. Progression: Over Ankle → Over Calf → Over Knee → Running / Sprinting Try these in your next session & keep practicing You got this! What drill should I break down next?
