Yes! I just did it today. I unchecked that box and it was still sent as refundable sample. I started the return, then canceled the return and it removed it from my refundable sample list. That’s what customer service said to do.

Turning off refundable samples affects smaller creators that can't obtain free samples yet. The goal should be to make sure that the refundable sample option isnt automatically checked when purchasing.

I toggled it off.. and my purchase still was a refundable sample. so I tried it again, and I could not toggle it off. Financially I have alot going on, but purchased some refundable samples and people purchased from me. But it went through as refundable samples, so I didnt get a refund on like 3 things last month. So I missed commission, and my refunds.

I reached out directly to a couple of connections at TikTok sending them your previous video and they replied in a couple of instances: 1) nothing we can do about, buyers just need to uncheck the refundable sample box 🙄 and the other response was , I saw the video but again, how are the creators not earning commission on a refundable sample order? 😱😱😱 I nearly died. These people work for TikTok. One is a pretty high up person. How come they are so out of touch with the biggest issues of the platform and how it actually works???. They are super nice people but makes me wonder.. we are all on our own here. No matter we have managers, agencies, or connections at TikTok. No one seems to be able to help with huge issues like this 😥. The only ones winning are; TikTok, brands, TikTok again
